Buttercup is playing a bunch of shows in August. First comes Thursday, August 4 in San Antonio at Slab Cinema's Arthouse, in the Blue Star Art Complex (down at the end adjacent to the Blue Star Gallery). Aug 4 will be special in so many ways: we will have a world premier of a new music video filmed by Alejandro de Hoyos for our song "Practice Room." Alejandro is still editing the video, but early peeks are promising, indeed. You will get a chance to watch several short films that Buttercup has done with Alejandro on the Slab Cinema big screen. After, we will have a performance with Jason Garner (Polyphonic Spree, Deathray Davies) on drums. Whenever we have Jason with us, we have incredible energy. We are asking for a $15 donation at the door, a portion of which will benefit the National Organization of Women.
Then we play the next night August 5 in Austin at Cloud Tree Art Gallery (3411 E. 5th St) This show will also feature Jason on drums. We will be joined by Thor Harris and Lindsey Verrill. As Thor says: "Watch the news--hate people. Listen to music--love people. You have to do both." Tonight we are just going to do the latter: all music, all love. BYOB. $15, a portion of which will benefit the National Organization of Women.
Finally we will conclude the week Saturday Aug 6 in Dallas at the Allgood Cafe with Salim Nourallah!
